SEND

At Brymore, we are proud of the quality of learning support that we offer to ensure that all boys can achieve in all subject areas. Some of our team support boys in their lessons adapting tasks and working alongside our teachers. The SEND department also provides an extensive suite of interventions that boys may access when needed and appropriate. As a result, boys with additional learning needs achieve above expectations at Brymore.

We place a great deal of emphasis on supporting boy’s literacy skills and run a range of successful intervention groups including morning readers and Thinking Reading – all co-ordinated by our literacy specialist. These groups challenge boys to become more confident in their reading, enabling them to access KS4 courses more easily. In addition, Brymore has a range of interventions to support social emotional mental health needs including ELSA and cooking, as well as interventions targeted at developing social communication and interaction needs including Lego Therapy and Talkabout.

For a more detailed overview of our provision and how we allocate this, please read our SEN Information Report.

Our SEND team at Brymore work exceptionally hard to ensure that inclusion is at the forefront of all we do.
